Fingerprinting Process

FIND YOUR ORI NUMBER

By selecting the correct ORI number we can provide you with accurate pricing. If you don’t know your ORI number, select Unknown at the top of the list.

Select an available day and time to visit us. Provide your email and basic information to set your appointment. You will receive an email confirming your appointment.

Provide the required information and send the form to us. Completing the form online will allow us to prepare for your appointment.

You must have:

  • Your ORI number.  You are responsible for providing the correct ORI number.  This number determines where your background check results are sent. For DCF we will also need the OCA number.
  • Photo ID, such as driver’s license, state identification card or passport.
  • Payment method.  We accept cash, ApplePay, credit or debit cards.

You will have to complete the Demographic Form at your appointment, if you haven’t already done so online.   Completing the Demographic Form online will expedite your appointment. We will take your fingerprints, (and picture, when required) and we will process your payment. Fingerprints will not be sent for processing until payment is received.

Your fingerprints will be automatically sent to the state for processing. You will be provided with a transaction control number (TCN). Your TCN will be required for any inquiries on your results. You can check the status of your background check by entering your TCN here

The average processing time for clearance is approximately 3-5 business days. Once FDLE  processes your background check, they will send the results to the appropriate agency, according to your ORI number.

The receiving agency will then process your results and may take additional processing time.
